Making Relocation Easy – Practical Tips for Success

Nov 16, 2010 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM

This workshop is for HR professionals who are interested in simple tips to make staff relocation a more positive experience.

A lot of money is spent on staff relocation and it is important to get it right.  Using a relocation agency helps by providing staff with support in navigating logistical details.  This is part of the answer, but not the full answer.

Relocation works best when there is a real partnership between the organisation, the relocation agency and the employee relocating.  Often a few simple steps can make all the difference.

Helping staff relocate effectively involves providing them with information, support and relevant tools to navigate the transition.

This workshop is aimed at helping HR professionals reflect on the effectiveness of their current support processes in the context of relocation.

It will combine:

  • Practical tips and suggestions on how to prepare staff and families moving to the Lake Leman region;
  • An exploration of how to help staff and families build their resilience in times of transition; and
  • HR good practice and effective processes  - ‘do’s and don’ts’ of relocation.
