Hublot watches "symbolize the fusion between tradition and future". In 1980 Carlo Crocco created the Hublot watch featuring a gold case and natural rubber strap. It was the first time in the history of watchmaking that a precious material – gold – was combined with rubber, making Hublot watches famous internationally. The company and its CEO Jean-Claude Biver have been awarded numerous prizes.
